custom shoes & products
When my friend Lauren and I started making custom shoes for fun at the age of 15, we never anticipated that it would grow into a small business. Initially, we were just experimenting and sharing our creations on social media, but soon enough, people started taking notice and reaching out for their own custom designs. It was thrilling to discover that our passion could also be something people were willing to invest in.
As our small business began to take shape, we quickly realized that simply creating the products wasn’t enough. We needed to focus on marketing and promotion as well. We dedicated time to building our social media presence, creating engaging content, and utilizing targeted advertising to reach a broader audience. We even launched a website that not only showcased our products but streamlined the ordering process for our customers.
Running the business certainly had its challenges, but the sense of accomplishment that came with every order made it worthwhile. Crafting custom, high-quality shoes that our customers truly loved became a source of pride. Over time, as our careers evolved, the business transformed into more of a passion project. While it’s no longer my primary focus, I still enjoy creating custom shoes and other products on occasion, keeping that creative spark alive.
